Board

The Tucson chapter is proud to present the 2011 - 2012 Board of Directors.  The Board provides leadership to each year's volunteers and their parents and insures the volunteers are sent to Latin America as prepared as possible each summer.  Each member serves a 2-year term.  Most members tend to be either former volunteers or parents of former volunteers.  Nominations for new Board members are accepted each July. 

"As a 16 year old volunteer, Amigos gave me my first opportunity to experience and be a part of another culture.  At the time, my life experiences were limited to those of most high school students: sports, social clicks and weekend parties.  For the first time I was able to put my life in perspective, look outside of my immediate needs and realize that in many ways I have a responsibility to others.  As a parent and a member of the Tucson Chapter Board I want to make sure that the same opportunity I had continues to be available for other young adults."  Dan Perino, Tucson Board Member
