How can I help?
Please consider supporting our Tucson AMIGOS. We are funded by
contributions from community members, corporations, and foundations.
The cost to send each volunteer on their summer assignment is
broken into two parts:
1. Family Fee:
Each volunteer and
their family are required to pay a fee which is used to defray the
expenses for their domestic and international airfare, local training,
supplies, and emergency services.
2. Volunteer Fundraising / Community Support
The Tucson chapter
depends on you to help us by supporting our volunteers.
A. Please consider making a donation to the program.
Donations are used to cover the costs of supplies and support staff
while the volunteer is in country. For example:
| $25 |
Provides materials and instruction to
teach a classroom of children about hygiene and good
nutrition |
| $50 |
Improves family nutrition and supports
community reforestation with fruit trees |
| $100 |
Constructs three latrines to improve
community health and sanitation |
| $250 |
Provides seeds for family gardens in
over 20 communities |
| $500 |
Builds a playground for one community |

B. Consider inviting some
Amigos to speak
to your group. We've
gotten very positive feedback from groups who have enjoyed the
presentation and seen what tomorrow's leaders are doing.
C. Purchase a solar-powered "BoGoLight."
Durable and reliable, these flashlights make great gifts. Plus, the
Tucson Chapter of Amigos receives a small general donation for every
BoGoLight sold through our website!

AMIGOS is a 501(c)(3)
organization, as defined by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code.
Please
consider making a donation in support of the Tucson Chapter of
AMIGOS!
