"Amazing, is the only word that I can use to describe my time spent with
AMIGOS. And, talking with other volunteers about their
experiences, it seems the same word always pops up, “amazing”!
There really is no other way to describe the unbelievable
experiences. incredible relationships
acquired, and the otherwise unobtainable knowledge that is
gained through being a part of Amigos de
las Americas. Before I went to
Bolivia for my second summer, I had no idea what I wonted
to do with my life. I had just finished my sophomore year of
college, and was already questioning my second major. After
spending only three short weeks in my community, I finally
realized what it was I wanted to do with my life. I can honestly
say that AMIGOS has changed my life forever. Although I was not
a volunteer this past summer, I did spend the year helping to
train our 18 volunteers for their own amazing summers. I hope to
be an active participant of Amigos de
las Americas for a long time."
